A lifetime of mistakes will cause much grief to the heart of a believer in times of testing. It may be that the life changing event to the body has trapped the mind into spiral of indecision and self condemnation. The daily hour by hour struggles plague us with doubt and questions abound: “Can I do this? Why is this happening? How much longer? Am I doing it right? What will the outcome be?”
1 John 3:21-22
“Dear Friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do what pleases Him.”
It is in the midst of seeking a stronger heart that one realizes just how vulnerable the heart can be. He who promises is faithful, so have confidence before God that forgiveness for your past is secure. Allow grief to be lightened as the focus shifts from self to Him as the Sustainer; cling to him regardless of doubt plaguing the mind.
Ask him to instill trust that does not waiver, tame a tongue that pierces, remove fear that paralyzes, and guilt that shames. Take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:5) Walk forward faithfully as His commands are obeyed.
I assure you, your loyalty, love and commitment testify to the world with assurance, this can be done. Knowledge of He who works all things for your good and for His glory is sufficient. Trusting Him for endurance makes the walk seem shorter. Surrendering the will to His guidance give the strength needed to carry on, just ask.Gob Bless you.
