“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
I love the analogy of Christ holding together and supporting every ligament of the body (the church) and builds itself up in love so each part can do its work. In as much as proteins and essential fats are the physical building blocks of our bodies. Holding us up to do our work. The spiritual renewal of the word is as essential as the physical elements God naturally provides in nature.
Quinoa Oat Cookies with Hemp Seeds will provide a portion of those essential building blocks. While also yielding a minimally sweet treat with the addition of soy and dairy free chocolate chips. Note: Minimally sweet!
To make your own batch of these mineral and protein rich snacks, here’s what you’ll need.
2 Cups Cooked Quinoa
2 Cups Oats
1 Cup Cooked Buckwheat Groats
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
1/2 Cup Hemp Seeds
1/4 Cup Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup Soy free, dairy free mini Chocolate Chips
4 Ounces Unsweetened Apple Sauce
2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds (Soaked in 1/4 Cup water 15 minutes)
